The NATS Services Executive Team drives the company on behalf of NATS Ltd. The team provides strength in depth with a broad mix of skills and experiences to ensure NATS Services delivers to all its stakeholder groups.

Paul Reid

Managing Director

Paul was appointed as Managing Director of NATS Services in April 2010.

Paul began his career in NATS aged 19, graduating from Hurn training college as top cadet. He validated at Glasgow on tower and approach, before becoming a Watch manager. Originally from Scotland, Paul moved south to become a controller at Heathrow.

He then moved into management positions and has been Manager Air Traffic Services, London City; General Manager at Gatwick and then Swanwick and most recently as COO for NATS Services.

John Swift

Transport Solutions Director

John started his career with NATS in 1988, and worked as an air traffic controller at Belfast before becoming a watch manager at Aberdeen.

In 2001 he joined Serco at Dubai International Airport as a controller before becoming Unit Standards Officer and finally Manager Air Traffic Control during the rapid expansion of the airport.

As Director Aviation Strategy John oversaw and coordinated Serco's ATM activities in the US, UK and Middle East before joining their integrated transport division as Managing Director to deliver and operate the £160 million PFI funded National Traffic Control Centre with responsibility for England's motorway and trunk road network on behalf of the Highways agency.

Rejoining NATS as International Business Director in 2009 he has led the Aviation Data, Training and Client Relationship teams in growing NATS business throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

As Transport Solutions Director, John is additionally responsible for NATS Services' consultancy and MoD business, and is tasked with extending NATS' reach both in the UK and International transportation market.

Steve Williamson

Director of Safety

Steve was appointed as Head of Safety for NATS Services in September 2007. He was previously Head of Operations for NATS Services accountable for all aspects of ATC, engineering and support.

Steve has over 34 years' experience of ATC within NATS and has worked in managerial roles at Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Heathrow. Steve began his career as a controller based at Birmingham airport for 15 years.

Guy Adams

Finance Director

Guy has worked in NATS for over 10 years. Before being appointed Finance Director for NATS Services in September 2007, he held a number of senior finance roles including the Head of Corporate Finance and Planning for NATS Group and latterly the Head of Finance for NERL.

Immediately prior to joining NATS Guy was the Deputy Director of Finance for a major NHS Trust Hospital.

He trained and qualified as an accountant after leaving university with a social sciences degree.

Iain Harris

Engineering Director

Iain was appointed as Engineering Director for NATS Services in May 2010. As Engineering Director, iain is accountable for all engineering services within NATS Services.

Iain began his career in NATS aged 18 as an engineering cadet. he initially worked on a number of key projects with NATS before moving into management positions. Iain has been the Engineering manager, Stansted: General Manager, Southampton and Head of NSL Engineering Heathrow.

Rachael Reid

Communications Director

Prior to joining NATS in April 2003, Rachael held a number of senior communication roles in the utility, oil and gas and aerospace sectors in the UK, Norway and the USA.

Rachael is responsible for marketing communications, media relations and internal communications for NATS Services. As well as being on the NATS Services Executive she sits on the NATS Executive where her brief also includes customer affairs; developing and driving forward NATS environmental strategy; for internal and external communications and for corporate affairs and branding.

 

Sarah Stacey

HR Director

Sarah joined NATS Services in June 2008 having previously worked in a variety of HR roles including senior roles for the AA and Centrica during periods of transformational change.

She brings extensive HR experience associated with developing people strategies to meet business challenge and will focus on people leadership that delivers the growth strategy for NATS Services.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, Sarah has been involved in all aspects of HR and people management following her Degree in English from Warwick University.

Juliet Kennedy

Director of Operations (Airports)

Juliet was appointed Operations Director (Airports) in May 2010. She is accountable for the safe delivery of all aspects of the ATC services provided by NATS Services and manages the contracts at 15 airports in the UK and Gibraltar.

Juliet has over 25 years of ATC experience both with NATS and in the RAF and spent ten years as a controller at Stansted before moving into managerial roles. She has worked as Manager ATC and then General Manager at Gatwick and, most recently, Head of ATC at Heathrow House.
